You're just a short three minute walk to the sugar sand beaches Fort Myers Beach is known for. Connecticut beach access number 22 is the closest. So close to the downtown area known as Times Square, you could easily walk or rent bikes at nearby bike rental facilities. View beautiful sunsets from the Fort Myers Beach pier. There is nothing more spectacular than the sunset at dusk. Take a nature walk at Matanzas Pass Preserve and go visit the Mound House Archaeological Park just a half block from the house.
