"House on the Rocks" is nestled in the exclusive, *GATED* community with only 16 homes and a *COMMUNITY POOL* on a bluff overlooking Smith Lake. The architecture and exterior paint in organic hues on all the homes invokes a sense of tranquility and peace. The vacation home has its own private dock, as do all of the homes in the neighborhood. The house's location enjoys *CALMER WATERS* then many areas you will find around Smith Lake which leads to more time hanging out on the dock and playing in the water at the house. Once booking is confirmed, we will send you very specific driving instructions to the house and a code to access the front gate. There is a one-way concrete road that circles through the neighborhood. The gravel road from the main county road to the Point William front gate is winding but not steep. It can be a bit bumpy but all cars should have no problem navigating this road.
Parking
"House on the Rocks" has two parking spots in front of the house. Only two cars can be parked here, so if you are planning to have more than two cars during your rental period, all additional cars must park in the gravel parking lot located by the clubhouse. The driver(s) who parks in the parking lot can walk down the hill to the house or have another driver follow and pick you up to drive you the short drive down to the house.
Boats/Trailers/Boat Ramp
There is no boat ramp/launch access within the Point William neighborhood. The owners can send you specific information for where you can launch your boat/jet skis. We advise you arrive in the daylight to launch your boat before checking into your vacation rental. We an also connect you with local options to rent boats during your stay.
This home is our family's home and is not an event venue. We strictly enforce the maximum guest limit of 13. If we discover you have exceeded the guest limit without prior written consent, you will be asked to leave immediately, with no exceptions.
Note about cell phones: Like most places around Smith Lake, your Verizon phone will not work unless you are connected to the home wifi and messages may be the only feature to work. Usually, AT&T users will not experience any issues.
