Welcome to our charming one-bedroom Blue Bonnet bungalow nestled in the heart of East Austin`s vibrant artist community. Step into a cozy retreat adorned with rustic decor and whimsical touches inspired by Texas`s iconic state flower, the Blue Bonnet. Relax in the cozy living space, cook up a storm in the fully equipped kitchen, or unwind on the private patio. Located within an artist community near East Austin`s trendy shops and eateries, it`s the perfect base for exploring the city`s vibrant culture.
This is 1 building in a 4 building complex on 3 lots. The owner, who is a working artist, lives in the elevated “treehouse” set back behind the bungalow. There are several other artist tenants living in the community, as well as the owner’s two teenage children.
The artists have indoor and outdoor working spaces on the property that are visible from the back porch of the bungalow. These include shipping container art studios and a converted school bus. This is working artist community and you may see some of the artists out and about on the adjoining properties during your stay.
The owner hosts occasional community events in the shared communal arts space beyond your backyard fence.
Pool and hot tub are about 50’ away from the house and are shared with the neighboring units.
