This stunning lake front home is truly a special place. We are located on the main body of Lake Granbury, in a quiet neighborhood that is mostly owner occupied. Only 8 years old, you will enjoy your stay in an immaculate home, featuring hand scraped hardwood floors, granite, and a full wall of windows overlooking the lake from the huge, open kitchen, living room, dining room, and master bedroom.
There are 5 bedrooms and 4 full baths. Downstairs is the king master bedroom and bath, and a queen bedroom with full bath. Upstairs are two huge bedrooms with 3 queen beds each, and a private bedroom with a twin bed. There are 2 twin mattresses that can be used in the media room. There are 2 very large bathrooms upstairs.
The kitchen will delight the gourmet in your group! It is fully stocked with a huge variety of cooking and serving utensils, and a cabinet full of spices is available for your use. The appliances are GE Monogram, with double electric ovens, a 5 burner gas cooktop, microwave, and refrigerator. There is a Keurig coffee maker, as well as a traditional coffee pot, a toaster oven, several crock pots, blender, and a food processor.
There are large, flat screen TV’s in the living room, master bedroom, and upstairs media room. There is WI-FI and cable TV included. Antique pinball machine does not work.
Lovingly referred to as “The House of Sunsets”, the back yard is what makes this place so special. The covered patio runs the length of the house, and is 12’ deep. There are plenty of rocking chairs to go around, and 2 outdoor tables for eating. There is a chiminea on the porch, for cozy fires on a rainy day, and a fire pit for conversations and making ‘smores. Pitch washers under the lighted trees, while overlooking the lake front. The dock has a picnic table, a slide and play fort for the littles, and a boat slip for your boat. It is a great place to hang out and do some night fishing! The yard is level, great for playing outdoor games, and there are no stairs to the lake. The water slopes gently from the sea wall, from 3+ feet deep, to over 10’ deep at the dock, great for swimming and playing in the water. We are one block from the neighborhood boat ramp. Hot tub is available for an upcharge of $100.00 per stay.
Should you want to have some fun away from the lake, Granbury is the place to be! Hidden Oaks Golf course is less than one mile away, and Squaw Valley Golf course is only 30 minutes from our house. The historical Granbury Square is loaded with unique shops and fabulous restaurants. There are festivals on the Square throughout the year, which just add to the fun! Granbury also has a multi-screen theatre and a bowling alley. Fossil Rim Wildlife Park and Dinosaur Valley State Park are both a short drive away. We are located only 45 minutes from downtown Fort Worth, and one hour and fifteen minutes from the Dallas Cowboy and Texas Ranger sports complexes, as well as Six Flags Over Texas and Hurricane Harbor.
