ROCK HAVEN is a truly unique home in our collection! Rock Haven sits on 4 wooded acres, cradled under a beautiful canopy of ancient trees and hugged by some of the most historic boulders on the mountain! This is not just your typical home in the woods, you will discover along it's private hiking trail, covered in trees and giant boulders, home to wildlife, the mountains first school house ruins for the children of the mountain, once also a boarding house.
This home is right off Lookout Mountain Parkway making it super accessible and near DeSoto State Park and Falls, Mentone, Fort Payne and Little River Canyon. Upon arrival you will drive up the beautiful winding driveway to the home! A perfect retreat for up to 9 guests. Guests receive a welcome basket with yummies and treats!
Rock Haven Lodge is a 2800 sq. ft. home with tile and wood floors, a large well stocked kitchen, including a coffee bar, full stocked with dishes, utensils glasses, pans and pots. Perfect for the family that loves to gather and chat in the kitchen while cooking. A large dining table , oversized family room with high ceilings and stone fireplace. Downstairs offers a master bedroom suite with renovated bathroom and laundry room. A beautiful balcony rail hand crafted with local branches separates the two additional bedrooms and bathroom from the main downstairs living area. A huge outside rear new deck has ample space for everyone to gather to eat or just relax! Not to mention the giant fire pit with a swing arm unique cooking grill plate. No cookie cutter, cluttered cabins here! As guests have stated in our reviews, there are no vacation homes like these anywhere! You are home while staying at MVR. You will not want to leave.
Trails, horse shoes, plenty of parking, complimentary firewood, games and huge boulders to climb and explore make this an extremely unique vacation spot that you will want to return to time and time again. Not to mention the trail up to the first school house on the mountain, now a shell, but so cool to see!
