Collectively known as the Shoals, we are known for our two Robert Trent Jones golf courses, the second largest locking dam in the world at the Wilson dam, the home place of both father of the Blues W.C. Handy and Helen Keller. Handy is celebrated by an annual music festival in July and Keller also celebrated with a festival in June. The Tennessee River brings in many bass fisherman and boaters. We also have one of the few Frank Lloyd Wright homes as a museum in Florence.
