Summary: Apartment was in a single family neighborhood close to interstates, stores, restaurants, and shopping. Safe and friendly location and very walkable area. The unit inside was clean and neat when I arrived. There was a musty, dank odor in the unit and I burned candles to mask the smell while I was there. There was no fan in the bathroom so taking a shower added to the smell. There were partially burned candles there when I arrived so it was an ongoing problem. None of the windows opened so I had no way to air out the area. It was clean inside so I'm sure it was from being closed up. I found the kitchen lacking basic supplies; no storage containers for leftovers if you cooked, no can opener, no colander, no paring knife, no teaspoons, no pot holders, no stool to reach cupboards which are very high. There was also a gas smell every time the hot water tank came on. Unit had no end stands or lamps in the living room, so if you wanted light it had to be the harsh overhead fan light. Only one face cloth and 2 hand towels. Jonathan was responsive when I called him because of the smell, (unfortunately nothing could be done), there were no cable channels that could be accessed on the TV, (he came and activated the account) no lounge chairs by the pool (he brought one). I rented this unit primarily because he accepted dogs and had a fenced in yard. Unfortunately the yard was overgrown and unkempt and could not be utilized by my pet. The pool was dirty, as well as the area surrounding it almost the entire time I was there. Shortly before I left, after 3 months, he had the pool cleaned and the area power washed. I enjoyed the Tampa area, but would not rent this unit again.
